Springtime: A mountain in the Rockies idly contemplates the sky. Migrating gulls lazily ride the updrafts and soar in the warming breeze. The mountain, frozen in a near perpetual state of stasis, envies the streamlined bodies and graceful lines of the seabirds. And so, with great effort and will, the mountain transforms its appearance, emulating the seabird’s beauty.
