These “snapshots in time” are then superimposed upon themselves as visual overlays.
Here, in the combining of two epochs of present and past, a powerful gale rages at high tide from a distant past when ocean levels were much higher. Where an ocean once existed, a present-day lighthouse stands upon a rocky shore, now buffeted by storm waves from that distant past.
