04.28.26 Tidal Fluctuation (on hold for exhibition)

$4,600.00

A framed 24×30-inch oil on panel. Dated April 28, 2026.

This painting is one of a series I am calling, Thinking Forward-Looking Back, that reflect upon chronological scenarios comparing geographic locations undergoing oceanic and atmospheric changes over great spans of time as measured by the tiny metric of human existence, and then superimposing these snapshots over themselves as visual overlays.

An agitated sea raging above snow-covered mountains, amplified by a high spring tide. Towering breakers loom over the seemingly impregnable mass of granite and basalt. Time and water flow on. Mountains recede into the depths and then rise again as the sea becomes desert.
