A 34×40-inch oil on canvas. Dated July 4, 2026.
I celebrated the 4th of July completing this new mountain landscape while enduring forest fire smoke engulfing our mountain studio. I was desperate for relief from this environmental catastrophe. I envisioned a clearing of the yellow cloud of ash, a thorough cleansing of the atmosphere by means of a gigantic wave of crystalline water. The dreamer dreams on.
