Apolitikka: A small independent state where all forms of politics are forbidden. Apolitikka’s environment is the most hostile of any country in the world due to the fact that its elevation is all above 12,000 ft. Maintaining an apolitical state isn’t terribly difficult as the act of political discourse and debate has proven to be a pointless waste of oxygen and energy at such altitudes. Those that choose to immigrate generally share a common love for the stunning beauty of the mountains and are incapable of bothering with electing any leader or forming opposing positions against their fellow Apolitikkans. There is no national flag, nor is there a standing army or police force. The national sport is skiing.
