Inland Sea (Cretaceous)

$2,850.00

A 24×36-Inch oil on panel. Dated December 2025. The State of Colorado in the cretaceous era, approximately 150million years ago, was the location of the Western Interior Seaway. Where mountains and desert occupy the state, a great inland sea bisected the North American continent from north to south. A pristine environment devoid of human pollution existed in which fearsome gigantic creatures swam beneath the crystal-clear waters. This painting is my interpretation of Colorado at that time.
