Fissure #2
A framed 53X26-inch oil on canvas painting.
The foothills of the Rocky Mountains abruptly rise from the relatively flat prairie, exposing Jurassic era geologic layers on which the footprints of dinosaurs are easily discernable. The great stress from massive geological movement causes great fissures to open in the rock. It is within the shadows of the fissure where I explore a darker inner world.
