A late afternoon thunderstorm sheds sheets of thick dark rain down upon the mountains rimming the San Luis Valley.
Here I have rendered the storm in a manner depicting its great mass. The storm’s dynamic energy is made apparent by the restless movement of cool water vapor, beneath which an interior of warming gasses churns.
