This area is known as a notoriously dangerous section to local climbers, some believing it to be inhabited by malevolent spirits. Tragically, some climbers have perished amongst these jagged pillars.
The direct light and dark shadows present a highly dramatic view of these pinnacles darting vertically skyward, their angle abruptly countered by a steep, sloping foreground. This visual effect is meant to instill a sense of vertigo in the viewer.
