A slow-moving snow shower envelopes a snowy ridge.
The loose handing of the oil paint is key to expressing the amorphic movement of clouds. I have always admired the seascapes of JMW Turner and have adopted his technique of applying pigment in thin overlapping washes and glazes. I also use cloth rather than brushwork in order to maintain a loose and fluid movement.
